# How many jobs to apply to a day, and a week

What JobsEye's own applications show about how many it takes to get shortlisted in India, and how to reach that number without spending your evenings on forms. 24 October 2026.

**The short answer.** Plan for 50+ applications to roles that fit you, sent over one to two
weeks: about 5 to 10 a day. Among people who applied through JobsEye, 71% of those who sent
50+ applications were shortlisted within 12 days. Of those who sent fewer than 10, nobody had
been yet.

## What our numbers show

People who applied through JobsEye between 29 August and 20 October 2026, by how many
applications they sent:

| Applications sent | Shortlisted (an interview or the company's first-round test) |
|---|---|
| 50+ | 71%, within 12 days |
| 20 to 29 | 25% |
| 10 to 19 | 7% |
| Fewer than 10 | nobody yet |

The groups are small, and nobody had sent 30 to 49 yet. The direction is clear: a handful of
applications rarely gets a call.

## Why fit matters as much as count

- Apply to roles whose stated experience and skills you meet. Sending to roles you don't fit
brings fast rejections and little else.
- Answer each form's questions the same way every time: notice period, current and expected
  CTC, location.
- Treat a test invitation as a call. Several first rounds were the company's online test,
not an interview. Answer it the same day.

## How to send 50 without spending your evenings on forms

A careers-page application takes time: an account with the employer, several pages, its own
questions. Three ways to send more:
1. **Batch them.** Keep your answers in one note and do 5 to 10 in one sitting.
2. **A free autofill extension** fills the fields while you send each form.
3. **Let a service send them.** JobsEye applies on employers' own careers pages for the roles
you pick. It has sent 44 applications for one person in 41 minutes, so a hundred can go out
in a few hours. Your first 5 are free.
